Humboldt Peak 14,068'

Laura and I left Manitou at 5 am and parked at the 2wd trailhead just outside of Westcliffe at 6:20 am. We put on our hiking gear and began walking at 6:45 am. Beautiful day sunny and warm. The 4wd road looked passable, but only for 1/2 mile, then too deep of snow. Put on snowshoes at Rainbow Trail turnoff and kept them on until reaching tree line. 5 hours to summit, 8 hours car to car.
